The Campaign for Bond Street Dojo: Building the Future of Aikido in New York City
Since our founding in 1973 by Terry Dobson and Ken Nisson, Bond Street Dojo has operated with the mission of providing a safe, respectful and sincere environment to study, practice and disseminate the principles of aikido.
Today, Chris Jordan Sensei leads Bond Street Dojo as our Chief Instructor. We operate as a not-for-profit and are dedicated to upholding our mission. Membership continues to grow, and our dojo offers regular training 7 days a week, and hosts several seminars each year.
As we celebrate our 40th anniversary and plan for Bond Street’s future, we want to embody the spirit on which we were founded, and provide our members, instructors, and dojo guests with a space that meets their training needs. The Campaign for Bond Street Dojo is a way to sustain our mission through a comprehensive fundraising effort.
