October Seminar at Bond Street Dojo
The Bond Street Dojo community are excited to welcome Tatsunori Imamura Sensei for an exciting 3-day seminar. Imamura Sensei is a seventh dan Aikido Shihan from Hokkaido, Japan, who was profoundly influenced by his study with O‘Sensei in the last years of the founder’s life. He is the chief instructor of Sapporo International Aikikai, and travels regularly to teach in Russia and Eastern Europe.
Imamura Sensei is very committed to the spiritual core of Aikido. He has written:
...I sincerely hope that the society in which we live, the world, can walk the path of evolution, creation, and development to a more peaceful and happier earth, so that I can devote my whole body and soul to realizing a happy and peaceful world together with my friends through Aikido, through social activities, and through daily life. For our true happiness and peace of humanity,

This commitment was enhanced by his studies with Masahisa Goi Sensei (1916-1980), a philosophical/spiritual leader who was a close friend of O’ Sensei. Goi Sensei founded the Byakko Shinko Kai, which initiated the movement to plant Peace Poles worldwide. You may have seen one of these four-sided poles with the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” written in several languages.
